I was able to reproduce the issue. Word for Microsoft 365 opens the Equation tab: Word for Microsoft 365 provides two formats. To add your own equation, do one of the following: On the Insert tab, in the Symbols group, click the arrow next to Equation , and then click Insert New Equation, On the Insert tab, in the Symbols group, click the Equation button, Or simply press Alt+.
Alternatively, the third-party app MathType enables you to edit Equation Editor 3.0 equations without security issues.Then saved, closed and re-opened the document, the original pair of equations retained the desired layout.At the top of the window there should be a toolbar of mathematical symbols you can use, as shown in Figure 1. However, you will not be able to edit existing equations that were inserted using Equation Editor 3.0 in that manner. It used to be present in MS Word 2007.Please kindly explain how can I resolve this problem.I am running Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Student Edition.Open box, type the following text, and then press ENTER:Start, click Run, type cmd, and then clickNote: If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, clickStart, in the Search box, type command prompt. (which 2007 doesn't have this problem also, if I don't do align at = in 2010, it isn't a problem too).The problem is that mine does not even have the option of "Align at =" when i select the two lines of equations and right-clicked it. But when I close it and reopen it, all the equation collapse in a giant mess.
